Prof. Milan Mehta is an esteemed academic leader with over 23 years of experience in teaching, administration, and management within the University and Engineering education sectors. Throughout his career, he has consistently been recognized for his excellence in performance and contributions to the success of the institutions he has served. Prof. Mehta's expertise spans the entire academic spectrum, from teaching and curriculum development to accreditation processes such as NBA/NAAC. He is also a strong advocate of Outcome-Based Education, aligning his work with NEP 2020 and AICTE standards.
Currently, Prof. Mehta serves as the Dean of FSV and Dr. Controller of Examination, as well as IQAC Coordinator at Sigma University in Vadodara, Gujarat. In this role, he oversees the academic programs, ensures curriculum relevancy, manages faculty, and addresses student affairs. As Deputy Controller of Examinations, Prof. Mehta ensures the smooth conduction of exams, maintains result processing standards, and upholds the integrity and security of the examination process. His dedication to quality assurance is further demonstrated in his role as IQAC Coordinator, where he implements quality benchmarks, monitors academic and administrative functions, and supports the university’s accreditation efforts.
Prior to his current roles, Prof. Mehta served as Dean and Principal at Sigma Institute of Technology & Engineering (Polytechnic), where he played a key role in achieving NBA accreditation and elevating the quality of technical education. Under his leadership, the institute consistently saw over 90-95% of students qualifying for higher education in top colleges, with many securing university gold medals and top positions in their respective engineering branches. Prof. Mehta's commitment to excellence extended to his earlier roles as Principal and Head of the Computer Department, where he focused on faculty development, student success, and modernizing educational approaches.
In addition to his academic and administrative duties, Prof. Mehta has been actively involved in various accreditation and inspection processes for government and private colleges. He has chaired committees for staff recruitment, conducted external exams, and served as a city coordinator and observer for national exams such as UPSC, SSC, and NTA. His contributions to academic research are reflected in his published works on Amazon, AICTE’s Outcome-Based Education, and several books for diploma students. Prof. Mehta's dedication to education is evident in his numerous accomplishments, including being an NBA-certified mentor and receiving the Best Lecturer Award in 2016.
