Dr. P.S. Navaraj is a distinguished academician with over 40 years of experience in the fields of Zoology and environmental science, and he currently serves as an Academic Advisor and Senior Researcher at Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Having previously held positions as Principal of Annai Fathima College and as Dean and Associate Professor at Yadava College, Dr. Navaraj has been instrumental in advancing academic programs and research initiatives in these institutions. His career spans various roles, from a Post Graduate Teacher to Associate Professor and Dean, contributing significantly to the education sector from 1979 to 2017.

Dr. Navaraj has extensive involvement in ecological and environmental organizations worldwide, including the British Ecological Society (UK), International Society of Zoological Sciences (China), and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (Switzerland). His expertise has earned him memberships in renowned organizations and councils globally, where he has contributed his knowledge to pressing environmental and ecological concerns. His affiliations include serving as a UN Volunteer, a European Climate Pact Ambassador, and being a vital part of networks like the Global Water Partnership and the International Youth Math Challenge.

Additionally, Dr. Navaraj is a prolific researcher and reviewer. His research work primarily focuses on ecological and environmental sciences, with several papers published in high-impact journals such as The Lancet, International Journal of Fish and Aquatic Studies, and Clean Environmental Journal. His research contributions cover various topics, including cancer epidemiology, water quality assessment, and toxicological impacts on aquatic species, which underscore his commitment to advancing ecological health and sustainability.

In his capacity as a project reviewer, Dr. Navaraj has evaluated numerous projects for prestigious organizations such as the European Commission, the Japan Fund, and the Australian Research Council. His role as a reviewer extends to respected journals across different fields, including the Journal of Applied Sciences, African Journal of Environment Science and Technology, and the Journal of Environmental Management. He has also organized significant international conferences sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), and other institutions, focusing on global issues like groundwater conservation and climate change.
