Dr. Hasan Mallah is a highly accomplished academic and operations research expert based in the Beirut Governorate, Lebanon. With a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Systems from the Lebanese University, his career is marked by significant contributions to academia and the healthcare industry. Currently, he serves as an Operations Research Principal Analyst at the American University of Beirut (AUB), where he develops large-scale optimization models for healthcare institutions, providing strategic guidance to various departments and senior management on advanced technical issues.
In addition to his role at AUB, Dr. Mallah is an Assistant Professor at both the Lebanese International University and AUL (Arts, Sciences, and Technology University), where he teaches a diverse range of courses including Management Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Programming Fundamentals. His teaching philosophy is centered around equipping students with practical skills and knowledge to excel in the rapidly evolving field of information technology and data science.
Dr. Mallah’s extensive professional experience includes roles as an Operations Research Analyst and Decision Support Data Quality Coordinator at AUBMC, where he provided detailed analysis and operational recommendations through mathematical and simulation models. His analytical prowess is further demonstrated by his previous position as an Assistant Manager at Numbase Group, where he oversaw telecommunication policies, system development, and marketing research studies.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mallah has been recognized for his excellence in research, earning multiple Best Paper Awards from prestigious institutions such as Saint Joseph University and the Lebanese Conference of Information Systems. His commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident in his numerous certifications, including Clinical Research, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehousing from Epic, and Biomedical Research from the CITI Program. Dr. Mallah's dedication to his field and his contributions to both academia and industry make him a prominent figure in operations research and information systems.
