Dr. M.P. Ayyappa Das, a seasoned academic and dynamic leader, joins the Global Standardization and Accreditation Agency (GSAAA) as the esteemed peer evaluator for the Indian region. With an extensive academic journey, he holds an M.Sc, M. Phil, and Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Bharathiar University, complemented by a PG Diploma in Bioinformatics. Currently serving as the Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator at RVS College of Arts & Science, his profound influence has led the Department of Biotechnology under his aegis since 2006.
As an Associate Professor and Head of PG Research Department at RVS CAS, he has also excelled as a Research Supervisor and coordinator of IQAC. Dr. Das' multifaceted contributions extend to various committees, including curriculum development, disciplinary, animal ethics, planning and evaluation, academic audit, and library. He takes pride in guiding six Ph.D. scholars, supervising M.Sc. projects, and his impactful research publications in reputable international journals. His prowess in consultancy, mushroom cultivation, and vermicomposting further showcases his practical acumen.
Recipient of prestigious awards such as the Best Faculty and Best HOD from RVS Educational Trust, as well as the Distinguished Alumni Award from Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College, Dr. M.P. Ayyappa Das stands as a beacon of academic and administrative excellence. His leadership in facing NAAC and UGC visits and securing an 'A+' grade for his institution underscores his remarkable contributions to the field.
