Dr. Dharmesh Jaichandbhai Shah is a distinguished professional in the field of Electrical Engineering with a career spanning over three decades. He currently serves as the Provost (Vice Chancellor) at Indrashil University, Visnagar, and holds the position of CEO and Director at Shruj LED Technologies Private Limited, Ahmedabad. Additionally, Dr. Shah is the Director of Industrial Consulting at Gujarat Radiation Services. His expertise lies in planning, implementing, and monitoring academic activities, particularly within technical courses and universities. Dr. Shah holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from M.S. University, Baroda, and a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. His educational background is further complemented by a Bachelor of Law with a major in Taxation and a Bachelor in Engineering in Electronics & Communication. His research interests are diverse, encompassing areas like Soft Computing, Artificial Intelligence, VLSI Design, and Digital Signal Processing. Dr. Shah has guided numerous Ph.D. students and published over 85 research papers, earning recognition through various academic awards and accolades.
In addition to his academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Shah is an active member of several professional societies, including being a Fellow Member of the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and the Institute of Engineers. He has also contributed to the academic community as a member of various boards of studies and faculty boards at renowned universities. Dr. Shah’s innovative contributions are underscored by his involvement in patented technologies, such as his work on “Automatic Animal Detection on Indian Roads” and the development of AI-assisted learning devices.
Dr. Shah’s personal life reflects a balance between his professional and family commitments. He is married to Jayshribahen Dharmesh Shah, a homemaker, and is a proud father of two children, Yash Shah, a Senior Program Manager at Amazon, USA, and Shrujal Shah, a final-year physiotherapy student. With a career dedicated to high standards and continuous innovation, Dr. Shah is a respected figure in both academia and industry, known for his leadership, technical expertise, and contributions to the advancement of education and technology.
