Frank Ayim
Certified Teaching Professional
Frank Ayim has devoted his professional life to encouraging active learning and teamwork in education, owing to his strong belief in the constructivist method. His teaching philosophies revolve around decision-making, introspection, and interpersonal relationships in a relevant context—behaviors that are essential for providing real-world patient care. He promotes teamwork among students and teammates while rejecting competitiveness.
Since August 2020, Frank has been employed by Dwight School Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He influences the educational experiences of students by acting as the IDU Coordinator, a personal project coordinator, an IB MYP Integrated Science and DP Biology Teacher, and more. He also provided his knowledge to the World Academy in Tirana, Albania, during the preceding academic year (2019–2020).
During his long career at Lincoln Community School in Accra, Ghana, which spanned from August 2004 to June 2019, he held several positions, including DP Biology Support Teacher/Science Teaching Assistant and IB MYP Integrated Science Teacher.
Frank's academic path is characterized by ongoing learning and development. He has a Master's in Educational Administration from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana (2008) and a B.Ed. (Hons) in Science from the same university (2004). He is currently pursuing an EdD in Educational Leadership at Bethel University, MN, USA. His IB Certificate in Teaching and Learning (2015) and Graduate Certificate in International Baccalaureate Education from Bethel University attest to his dedication to global education.
Ayim has participated in conferences, IB seminars, certifications, and other professional development opportunities outside of the classroom. Among her noteworthy accomplishments are his presentation of a degree thesis on science resource center management in the greater Accra region (2007) and his certification as a CK-12 Certified Educator in 2017.
Frank participates in a range of extracurricular activities, including community service, teaching table tennis after school, and helping with Model UN projects. His professional abilities include a broad range of usage of the Office Suite and Google Apps, as well as expertise with educational platforms such as Managebac, Moodle, and CK-12.Org, demonstrating his flexibility with contemporary teaching resources.
