Fariya Azmin Afraha is a dedicated and passionate educator with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Middle East College, Oman, which she completed in July 2020. Following her graduation, Fariya transitioned into the education sector, bringing her technical expertise to her role as a teacher. With two years of experience in teaching physics and general science, she has been committed to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for her students.
From January 2021 to April 2023, Fariya served as a Physics Teacher at Bangladesh School Muscat in Oman. During her tenure, she effectively combined a range of instructional strategies and materials to deliver engaging lessons tailored to the diverse learning preferences of her students. Her approach included practical demonstrations aligned with the Edexcel Curriculum for Middle School Students, and she played a crucial role in evaluating student development through comprehensive assessments and feedback.
In addition to her role as a Physics Teacher, Fariya also took on the responsibilities of a Class Teacher and Mentor from March 2021 to April 2023. Her ability to manage and mentor students contributed significantly to their academic and personal growth. Prior to her teaching career, she gained valuable experience as a Technical Sales Engineer and Business Development professional at Modiso, Oman, and as a Data Entry Officer at Simpa Marketing, Oman.
Fariya’s professional development is further highlighted by her participation in various training programs, including instructional strategies and classroom management. Her proficiency in utilizing educational technology tools such as Google Classroom, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams has enhanced her teaching methods, enabling her to create a dynamic and interactive learning environment. Fariya’s commitment to fostering critical thinking and encouraging student engagement reflects her dedication to helping students achieve their fullest potential.
